It is not simply the "most forward tee on the tee box." Rather, the Family Tees are set up at distances that offer young golfers a chance to play, and score, in relation to par. For example, a par 3 that plays 175 from the blue tees may play 60-80 yards from the Family Tees. A 340 yard par 4 from the blue tees is a 145 yard hole from the Family Tees.
